Two-leaved Gennaria (Gennaria)
Overview
The Two-leaved Gennaria a species from Southwest Europe. It is found in Madeira and Tenerife, as far as Sardinia and Corsica. A few individuals are also described in Elba. The Two-leaved Gennaria is a grass-green plant with numerous small flowers, which are arranged one-sided on the pedicel. The early flowering time from January to early April is striking. Sandy, acidic soils in forests or under bushes in coastel phryganas are preferred.
